Performance at Entzaubert Queer DIY Filmfestival

We are very happy to show Performance at one of our favorite festivals! The Entzaubert Queer DIY Filmfestival is a completely self organised, non-commercial festival, that takes place for the 7th time in 2014.

Performance is part of the opening program « Berlin Melancholia », among films of Amelia Bande and Anette Knol, and James Rosalind:

« As this year’s opening program we have selected three submission from – mostly female socialised – Berlin-based filmmakers, most of which are somehow tightly connected to the wider communities around entzaubert.

Written and produced over the last two years, what also unites them are their story lines: built around utopia, collectivity, search of identity and self-expression, youth – between enthusiasm and disillusion.
Rabbit-Holing takes us on a journey escaping the city, questioning queer gender roles as internal group dynamics evolve after being confronted with an unexpected guest. In Performance we get to witness maybe typical berliner queer artists, struggling with hypocracy within their art work, while looking for fun, love and adventure, between success and failure. Two Lakes breaks the realism with a poetic closing – a wonderful experimental feast for the eyes.
